Pain is my consent companion, it rides the trails with me daily, but this is just part of life we all deal with pain of some sort each min we are alive.
A wise man once said, "The best thing about pain is that it reminds us we are still alive." This may be but pleasure can have the same effect.
Why do humans want to look for pain and suffering? why does the human mind remember the bad longer than the good?
How is it that the shows like Jerry Springer and Maury Povicth have such a fallowing but educational shows have to fight for air space?
Our priorities are all screwed up and our morals are weak it's time for change but How and who and when?
 Godspeed
Chris

Fiscal Cliff?

Happy new year y'all,
Over the edge and into free fall in the new year? No they do as always and plan only short term fixes, who does that? If you were driving towards a brick wall at a high rate of speed do you only add temporary brakes or do ya stand on them until the car stops? This is a trend that is sweeping the country temporary fixes that come back to bite us later, the drug companies putting drugs on the market before enough testing is done so ya have endless lawsuits, vehicle recalls, etc."Quality first" is a thing of the past, now it's all about... "How much more can we make cutting corners where ever possible?"  It is time we stop allowing this to be acceptable and demand more from everything we spend our hard earned money on.

Please comment

I have posted a few things up here and now I m wondering if I should continue? I offer my views and ask for  feedback in an effort to see if perhaps my mind is some how reading the world view in an abnormal way. and today I see my hopes for an upset of the 2 party system dashed by the joining or Ron Paul to the Mitt Romney camp. A doctor has to take an oath that first they are to do no harm. This is like a smack in the face for those of us who still held out hope that the middle class had a voice..I call that harm.
.I saw a local judge advertising like a used car sales man with a banjo, playing and singing some crazy jingle about "fair but tough" and this is for a JUDGE! A man that can either ruin or not ruin a persons life with a wave of his hand and according to his mood.
Those who are running for offices in our country must consider us fully intoxicated with Jersey Shore, the next way to cheat death by eating this seed or that root, or how much to spend on a new car we don't need. As someone who has lived on the streets I have experienced having to eat from dumpsters but I have also tasted lobster and caviar but it all came from hard work. Now I sit here with a body that is like that of an 80 yr old and on Halloween I'll be 46,yet  I have a clear view of my future because it is as it always has been; "Adapt and overcome, no retreat, no surrender, I will not go silently into that good night no matter how peaceful it may look to be in my mind at times.
Through political correctness we seem to be removing the American mind set  from Americans. Teddy Roosevelt said "Talk softly and carry a big stick." not "Walk softly and carry a wet noodle." and when he was president Americans were proud to be American and would tell ya how they felt because they were taught to tell the truth. If America had a problem with a country before Vietnam we did every peaceful thing we could to avoid conflict  and if that didn't work we didn't bullshit around ,and now we dive in to be the police for the world, following up by trying to force our type of democracy onto other people throughout the world. .Is this an attempt to continue Manifest Destiny? I'm not the type to think on the lines of conspiracy theory and usually can work out things in my mind, yet this does  make one wonder.

May Peace and goodwill find all who read this and the blessings of many kings be poured at your feet, and may your enemies crotches be infested with the fleas of 1000 camels and their arms too short to scratch.

IS THIS THING ON?

          Hello y'all
It's me again late at night or early in the morning depending on your point of view been wacthing a lot of news and reading a lot online, newspapers Etc. and I have decided to jot down a few things that crossed my mind today. I wacth as this country seems to be consuming itself with fear and panic that is fed by both parties running for every office up for vote and it really bothers me that we have as a country become so easily lead without stopping to even see if the big picture that is promised is even close to the reality of a possible future, and if not why? What will it take to get this country back on track? This is the question that both sides must answer, however I have a few ideas that I will list, and maybe someone will pass it along.

#1 If you have money overseas in a bank to avoid taxes, you have 30 to 90 days to bring it back to the US and pay the taxes owed or pack your bags and leave everything you can't carry on plane behind to pay the back taxes you owe and go live with ya money there . That goes for Mitt Romney,Micheal Jordan, and many others who have used dual citizenship and other loop holes to steal from the American people. You must choose are you an American or not just that simple.
#2 Close all loopholes period. if you make enough money to owe taxes pay the taxes and stop stealing (yes there's that word again) from your country.
#3 No more hearings in the congress that is the justice departments job and would free up time for the congress to work on #2
#4 Let the punishment fit the crime regardless of race ,class, creed Etc. yet where more is known more is expected so the penalties for crooked politicians, police, judges, doctors Etc. should be at least the same as regular people get, in real prisons not country clubs.
#5 Tell the UN that we will no longer Police the world in the force we have been and that it will be  up to them to fill the gaps because, we should reduce our investment in the world if no one will stand up for us as we have for so many. Have other countries more active in the effort for peace and perhaps they will have less time to kill each other and perhaps all will learn more of others cultures.
#6 All these soldiers that are coming home and the many unemployed we already have can be put to work with the money from stopping aid to countries that hate us to rebuild our own country and perhaps we can join the rest of the world with high speed trains, solar and wind power farms.
#7 This one I feel very strongly about priorities in our country as outta whack as the system of checks and balances set forth in our Constitution. In my simple mind those spending priorities are as fallows
   A.Education
   B. Health including EMS to speed the time and quality that can be provided. Give the people who risk their lives to  save ours the best equiptment available along with continued education to keep them cutting edge.
C.Military as in during and after service no matter the cost because they didn't ask for payment to keep us free.
These are just a few ideas that crossed a simple man's mind. I would like some feed back on this as I am very intrested in other peoples views on these matters.

What a couple of day I've had.....

As I have been trying to re-invent my self after being told I was disabled I have been taking a lot of pictures in an effort to become a freelance photographer and it has been quite a ride all ready from being cursed at as described in my post about southern hospitality and then this week I spent blood, sweet and tears to get some photos. And the path to the left led to the three broken ribs and multiple spots of rock rash than now cover my legs.A tough old bird I continued on my quest for that sunrise shot, that I have been looking for, I think got three

Huh?

To my readers here if there are any, I also have a youtube page that has a mix of music.  http://www.youtube.com/user/happynutcase1966?feature=guide

This is music that has spoken to me at different times in my life. when I was alone at 14 living in the streets, barns, and where ever I could lay my head music kept me sane, songs like " it's a long way to the top if ya want to Rock and roll" by AC/DC, fueled my desire, kept me from just giving up. Has a song ever really change your life? I know many have in my life, as they still do. I am no music expert but I have a very wide and open mind and almost perfect pitch so any type of music that sounds good I will listen to. To me for a song to sound good the more simple the production of the music, with more interest paid to the lyrics and arrangement usually makes for better songs. Take this guy named Seasick Steve http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-vSZFEWHlo  he is playing a broom stick with 2 strings on it and it sounds great. but i also like big productions with large bands but the music must have heart regardless of the type. I listen to everything and I mean everything from Chet Atkins to Slash, from B.B.King to Ozzy, Bach, etc.etc. In my personal collection I have around 1000 albums/Cd's and at least that many more stored on external hard drives Guess you could say I'm a music and Photo nerd now. I express myself in my pictures and writings  and soak in good music I guess to replenish my soul.
In college I learned many things the 4 years I was at that 2 year school, yea that's right 4 years I double-majored in General education and Mechanical engineering, graduated with an associates in general education and an Auto-cad certification. I had to stop my eduction goals for a bit due to heath reasons but as I was there I really took an interest in psychology, and how it was instrumental in history, the links in music and how people acted when this or that music was played. A few modern examples would be the Dixie Chicks, Toby Keith, Kanya West, I could go on but this is just a small sample of how music can stir emotions but my question I guess is how much. We saw the uproar of the Elvis's girations being blocked out on Ed Sulavan and the Beatles causing such a onslaught of teen girls that police were over come by the mass girl power. Im sure some sex appeal was involved in these cases but without the music no one would have ever know who the hell any of them were.
Music has turned into a business of greed much like the professional sports of football, baseball, and basket ball. The fans are over charged for tour tickets while the multi- million dollar proformer/athlete crys about royaltys for downloded songs or bigger and bigger contracts. to this i say REALLY WHAT THE.....

Who is the best person for president?

In this election year We the people, must make our voices heard. We must demand action in a positive way to build jobs for our people and stop the inaction of congress in their pissing contests. It's time that we take our country back and make it the shining example of democracy it was after WWII. It does not matter who wins the presidential race when the only thing we get is a stalemate and stagnation within the congress. It's time for everyone to say enough is enough. If any of us did our jobs as they have in the past 3 years we would be fired, its time we fire the ones who's only concern has been to oust the president, and have let the real issues that need resolution fall by the wayside. we must be proactive now because our children and grandchildren will be effected by the choices we make now, and our choices are not just about the presidential elections we must start in our states with the people we send to Washington to represent us and we must devise a way to punish those who lie just to win. Obama make the mistake of trusting that after he was elected the congress would do their jobs of compromising to get stuff done, but this didn't happen, and now after 4 years of republican filibustering and stalling to hurt Obama, and then in this election Mitt Romney dismisses those who have paid in to FICA their whole working life just to be told that all that money paid in is now an entitlement, and he doesn't care about these people?  As one of those people who gave everything until my body would not allow me to work anymore because of seven back surgeries, I find it amazing how many people still think Romney is a good choice for president. and Obama a man that has been seen not covering his heart during the national anthem and believes in redistribution of wealth and that is a socialist view that I cant get behind either, so the choice for president to me is a loose / loose situation. We the people must make our choices for representatives and senators very carefully to offset this as soon as we can. I hope that others feel the same way about this as I do, yet I do not wish to offend anyone with my thoughts on this and would like any rational responces to this post as I would really like to know if anyone agrees with me or if not why.
